My name is Tina, I used to love to dance, but a desire to not have my feet swell up like pumpkins every night made me quit. My username is a combination of an accidental misspelling of a nickname I had back in high school, because I am a dumbass, and the day of my birth.
I'm a kindergarten teacher, and I come home smelling like glue every night. I doubt I'll ever be able to wash the glitter specks off of me.
My musical interests range from obscure college bands to glam rock. I love movies with dancing, things getting blown up, singing, talking animals, and pretty boys. So, practically every movie ever made.
TV is my obsession, and every philosophy in my life has been ganked from a character on TV. My top 5 favorite shows ever are probably Veronica Mars, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Farscape, Arrested Development, and The Joe Schmoe Show. I know that one of those things is not like the other, but I don't care. Other show interests include every other show on television. I try to watch everything, which may or may not mean that one day my TiVo will explode.
I'm a self-proclaimed nerd all the way, and anyone who attempts to convince me that sci-fi is not cool may earn themselves a swift kick in the ass, or a stern talking to. For your sake, hope for the ass-kicking, as I'm a longwinded bitch, if you haven't already noticed from the size of my info.
I can't guarantee that I'll use this much, given that my blog has been around too long to discard it, but the efforts over at watchveronicamars.net indicate a lot of LiveJournal activity for the Veronica Mars community, and anything that helps this show survive is alright in my book, so here we are today.
For anyone who happens to stumble across this journal, I urge you to check out the aforementioned website, or marsinvestigations.net. Veronica Mars is an underated show that won't make it another season without new viewers. If you enjoy witty dialogue, fantastic continuity, intriguing mysteries, great acting, multi-faceted characters (both major and minor), and of course, pretty boys and girls, Veronica Mars is for you. It's been praised by people such as Joss Whedon, Kevin Smith, and Stephen King. There's plenty of online resources to help any newbies catch up on the season-long mysteries, and I myself would be happy to help anyone. Don't wait for the DVDs, get involved NOW, before there isn't a show to wait for.
Here endeth the lesson.
